The founder – Gyalwang Drukpa
Founder of Live To Love is the Gyalwang Drukpa. He is the head of the 1,000-year- old Tibetan Buddhist Drukpa tradition and was honored for his commitment in 2010 with the Millennium Development Goals Award of the United Nations in New York and has numerous other honors rewarding his powerful commitment. Those include amongst others the „Green Hero Award“ (2010), den „Lifetime Achievement Award“ (2012), „The Guardian of the Himalayas“ (2013), bestowed by the „Waterkeeper Alliance“ and the "South-South Award" (2013). In addition the Gyalwang Drukpa heads the earth award committee.
Since its founding in 2007, Live To Love has developed into an international support network whose intellectual foundation is the message of love and compassion that is taught and practiced since time began in the Drukpa tradition. It is important for us to note that Live To Love indeed has a Buddhist background, but the organisation is pure humanitarian and non-politic, open for all people.
All supporters of Live To Love have one thing in common : they want to be part of an international community which not only speaks good deeds but commts them.
