Happy hours with our neighbors in May 2021

Gratitude and appreciation for knowing about one another and knowing each other:
On the nationwide "Day of Neighbors" Live To Love invited to a concert in the backyard of the Parkheim Foundation in Hamburg-Winterhude. The well-known musician Jansen Folkers played pieces from different genres and cultures on his violin and gave everyone both magical and moving moments!

Animal sanctuary Sol Luna - Animal love is program here in May 2021.

Actually, the operation was planned for Sunday - but the regulatory office had declared that handicraft activities in a larger team are not allowed during the Covid Lockdown on Sunday.
Teamlead Anja Wittenbernds spontaneously reorganized:
Therefore, a smaller team from North Rhine-Westphalia visited on Saturday the animal sanctuary Sol Luna e.V. for abandoned and abused animals, who live there under the loving care of Irmgard Gubitz - a real heart project!

Planting campaign in Klövensteen: 1000 trees in three hours - April 2021

Homage to the DAY OF THE TREE - another 1000 oaks for the Hamburg Klövensteen!

WOW! - we are still absolutely thrilled by the incredible response to today's planting event.

We couldn't even welcome all the interested people who had signed up.

Given the required AHA rules, we had to limit the number of participants so that safety distances could be maintained.

More than 60 participants of all generations were there and, full of joy and enthusiasm, planted the 1000 trees within a few hours.

The area we were given by the district forester was another affected forest area where Sitka spruce trees had not survived the recent dry summers.

"What better way than to do something for nature and our future?" we heard from many young people, some of whom had traveled from as far away as North Rhine-Westphalia.

Ulli, a senior citizen, told us that she tries every day to live in a resource-saving way, and in doing so she becomes more and more aware of how much damage she is causing to the earth: "I'm happy today to be able to make at least a small contribution to saving the earth."

The consequences of climate change are motivating more and more people to actively contribute to changing the climate crisis.

Some participants additionally expressed their pleasure in getting moving and doing something meaningful in the community, even in times of lockdown:

"You can get active and cause positive things even in lockdown instead of sitting frozen on the sofa - and that just makes you happy," said Anja.

The children were involved with such zeal, which can only open the hearts wide and through which the motivations to continue in exactly the same way are filled with great strength.

District forester Nils Fischer thanked all those involved for their valuable help: 12 ½ hectares of forest are to be replaced in Klövensteen by a species-rich mixed forest that will withstand the climatic changes in the coming decades.

His words made the perspective of today's action very big and wide: "Be aware that you are doing something here for the generations in the next hundreds of years."

The invitation: "Come again soon" - we accept very gladly: In the fall we will plant the next 1000 light feathers - and we would love to have you join us again!!!

Thank you for your commitment today - it was really great!

Many thanks also to all the donors who made today's planting possible with their contributions and in this way were part of today's action!

What a happy day! 1000 oaks planted in Klövensteen - March 2021

The Hanseatic City of Hamburg is reforesting the Klövensteen. More than 70,000 trees are to be planted and Live To Love is helping. A few days after the official kick-off, we put 1000 oak light feathers in the ground in the popular recreational forest for the International Forest Day.
They were also partly donated by the organization One for the planet. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting the project and even being there!

A visit to the Arche with lots of love in the luggage in March 2021

Great joy among the children at the children's foundation Die Arche in Hamburg-Jenfeld:
The two finger puppets Kaspar and Elfe were guests as part of the Live-To-Love-CARE initiative and interactively explained the importance of planting trees and creating butterfly flower meadows.
Where does oxygen come from? What is it important for? What is the purpose of flower meadows? How does an apple originate and how does a bee pollinate a flower?
