The Gyalwang Drukpa at the Münchner Sicherheitskonferenz

The Gyalwang Drukpa visited the 52nd Munich Security Conference from February 12th to 14th 2016, which was attended by more than 60 foreign ministers and defence ministers. The visit was organized jointly by Live To Love International, Drukpa Publications and Live To Love Germany.

He spoke in a panel titled "Securing the Future of the Himalaya" about the future of the Himalayan region under the influences of climate change, the geopolitical situation and the necessity of this region, where both Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus live which is the third pole of the earth. 1.3 trillion people live in the Himalayas from the water from the glaciers.

The Gyalwang Drukpa appealed to the Munich Security Council to preserve ethnic and religious diversity. Peace could only exist on the basis of humanity, reconciliation, the protection of minority rights and a maximum of respect in a world full of differences.



The Süddeutsche Zeitung reported in advance about the participation of the Gyalwang Drukpa: "He who has visions, does not have to go to the doctor "Who has visions, does not have to go to the doctor."

The founder of the online magazine Globalo, Dr. Hubertus Hoffmann, met the Gyalwang Drukpa during the conference and presented the importance of the Himalayan region in a global and geopolitical context in his magazine.
