1,000 Oak Trees for Klövensteen
The Language of Trees
On the wisdom of the forest and the healing power of connection.
Trees are the living pillars of the forest. Deeply rooted in the earth and with their crowns reaching toward the sky, they connect the forces of the earth with the light of the heavens.
They speak an ancient, wordless language that reveals itself to those who listen with an open heart—in the murmur of the wind, in the graceful choreography of their dancing branches, and in the whisper of their leaves. Even the intricate textures of their bark tell stories of growth and change, vulnerability and resilience.
Beneath the earth, a hidden world of interconnectedness unfolds. In a close symbiotic relationship with fungi, their roots form a fascinating network of mutual giving and receiving.
But trees are far more than silent guardians of life. They nourish, protect, and heal. They provide oxygen, purify the air, and offer shelter and habitat to countless living creatures. At the same time, they possess valuable healing powers. For example, oak bark contains tannins, whose astringent, anti-inflammatory, and, in some cases, antibacterial properties are valued in herbal medicine. They can relieve itching and mild skin inflammation and support the healing of superficial skin irritations.
In all of this, the wisdom of the trees is revealed: all life is interwoven. Giving and receiving are part of a greater whole.
Those who walk mindfully through the forest encounter a living tapestry of relationships, care, and renewal.
Those who walk mindfully through the forest encounter a living tapestry of relationships, care, and renewal.
The forest’s deepest healing power, however, lies in the fact that it invites us to become still and to reconnect with all living things.
For we hear the language of the trees not only with our ears, but above all with our hearts. And those who listen to it may also hear the quiet voice of their own soul.

We would like to thank the forester, Mr. Fischer, who provided us with a beautiful planting area; the Fielmann Group AG for their consistently friendly cooperation; and everyone involved who made this day so special!

The NDR - Hamburg Journal interviewed Mr. Fischer about the reforestation of Klövensteen and visited Live To Love during the event.
