Creating moments when life is playfully simple.
"The future belongs to those who give the next generation reason to hope"
- Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
In the psychology of the West, work with the "inner child" is popular. Surprisingly, this method is most often applied with the regressive view of the past and the sufferings and shortcomings of one's childhood experiences.
Children's own resilience, creativity, spontaneity, wonder and interest with which we as children also encountered life, is rarely taken into account. If we as adults practice to rediscover these strength-giving qualities, a lot of positive energy and liveliness can indeed emerge.
Today we spent another very nice time at the children's foundation Die Arche in Hamburg-Harburg. An exemplary institution for children from all parts of the world, who receive a lot of support here. The time was moving in the literal sense of the word and extremely encouraging.
We witnessed how the 35 children from different cultures bonded as a happy community within a short period of time through the dance movement with the swing cloth.
They gladly followed the motivation to come together in changing groups that had visual similarities: Who all wears glasses? Or: all children with long hair should join together. In this sense, encounters and spontaneous dialogues developed in a very natural and playful way - accompanied by a lot of humor. Only the moment was of importance.
Afterwards, the children enthusiastically pressed their hands into the brought finger paints. The bright colors stimulated their imagination and motivated them to create their individual "handprints" - as they looked at them together, they inspired each other to create more pictures.
And finally, some sat down to tie friendship bracelets - in such concentration, this activity had a calming effect.
The Live To Love Care bags, filled with toys and sweets, were received with joy.
Ah, making gifts is really fun.
Dear Arche Team - thank you so much for allowing us to visit you today and experience, as always, the care and dedication you show to the children.
You are doing a great job and building a foundation of tolerance and peace on which the children of different cultures can meet. This has immense value.
With warm regards
Yours
Live To Love Team
