Helping children connect with the here and now through play and color!
We’ve just enjoyed a varied afternoon full of creativity, play, and shared experiences. The children enthusiastically created marble paintings with tinted paints, tried their hand at cork stamp art, and let their imaginations run wild with watercolors on a large roll of paper.
Juggling plates and balls provided plenty of exercise and fun. Together, we also made strawberry jam so every family could take a jar home. The beautiful weather allowed for additional activities in the garden—with a wading pool and colorful play foam.
In addition, families received diapers, baby food, toys, and clothing as needed.
It was a truly uplifting afternoon, marked by the presence of all our Ukrainian friends and the children, as well as by many shared creative experiences, love, and very meaningful encounters.
We were delighted to welcome Pastor Peters Hilberling, even though she just happened to stop by. As always, we are very grateful that we were once again able to use the beautiful parish hall for this event.
