Live To Love-Care für Geflohene aus der Ukraine

With packed cars we visited refugees today, who fortunately found a refuge in a guest house in Hamburg-Dulsberg.
Andreas Kelb has spontaneously made his apartments available. His loving commitment as owner and hostel father shows great human kindness and we are full of appreciation.

 

In the last few weeks, a community has developed in his house in which all residents lovingly support each other. The meeting place is a common room where children play together, families share experiences and give each other comfort and support.

It was in this room that we arrived today to distribute our supplies. While the mothers were choosing the appropriate supplies for their children - they were happily playing with the new stuffed animals.
In the short conversations, which consisted of many gestures due to the language barriers, the refugees expressed their great gratitude to have found refuge in Germany. And still: Most of them wish nothing more than to be able to return to Ukraine, which is their home, as soon as possible.

 

By the way, we are totally happy about the support of Lena, who spontaneously agreed to support Love To Love in her profession as a midwife.
For a few weeks now she has been caring very lovingly and selflessly for a young Nigerian woman whom we have all taken very much to our hearts. An educated young woman who gave birth to her adorable little girl in Hamburg immediately after fleeing Ukraine. Lena is really there for them at all times, giving important health advice, even helping with visits to the authorities and many other relevant issues in this new country.

 

"Black Lives Matter!" It is indeed upsetting to learn that black people are given less humanitarian support. This discrimination is a painful matter. Human being is human being - there should definitely be no differences, neither because of skin color of cultures or religions!
