Beautiful biotope at the Tarpenbek realized!
New wildflower biotope planted at the Tarpenbek!
Thanks to GoNature, a beautiful collaboration with Live To Love and Wünsche Group - Hamburg became a reality today.
The latter has internationally launched the "Wünsche Value Week" from June 5 to 11, 2023. During this week, their employees will have the opportunity to volunteer for nature and species conservation. Their vision is to provide concrete support for existing projects with an idea or an action, to establish encounters at eye level, to enable new perspectives - and, of course, above all: to whet people's appetites for more involvement!
It was truly impressive to see the positive energy with which all 51 employees of the Wünsche Group arrived at the very beginning.
After the respective work steps had been clarified into sensible team logistics, work began quickly on removing the sod, building a wall from it, digging up the soil and watering it properly, and planting 280 plants and perennials that can cope well with drought.

Many earthworms got a new home. They are among the most important workers in the earth's ecosystem. Among other things, they dig tubes up to 20 meters long and thus also ensure perfect aeration of the soil, absorb the often acidic substances in the soil and neutralize them through their digestion. They also turn plant residues into valuable humus and in this way fertilize the soil.
Thanks to the donation of Willi Meiners, we were able to spread 3,500 liters of bark mulch, which he specially delivered in a trailer, over the entire area. High-quality mulch regulates, for example, the soil temperature, keeps moisture in the soil and provides a habitat for many microorganisms.
