“Children are guests who ask for directions”
- Maria Montessori
LIVE TO LOVE - CARE this year, Ukrainians are celebrating Easter twice! We have prepared today's care activity for mothers, children and fathers for the Gregorian Easter. While the children happily took part in all the play, coloring and craft activities, the parents gratefully selected necessities such as food and clothing, as well as important baby equipment. Like all previous times, we had a very nice and joyful time together today.
In Ukraine, Easter is celebrated according to the Julian calendar, which sometimes results in a later date compared to the Gregorian calendar. This year, Easter in Ukraine therefore falls on Sunday, May 5. So all Ukrainians who have come to us today have the good fortune to prepare for these days twice this year. In Ukraine, Easter is celebrated with deeply rooted traditional customs and rituals. Before Easter, for example, people clean their houses and paint traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs, which are often decorated with complex patterns and symbols.
And again and again: bringing joy to children in particular, who were or are confronted with suffering at an early age, and giving them a few hours of fun not only makes their eyes light up, but also warms everyone's hearts and makes them grow bigger!
We are very happy to share this with you all today.
