PRACTICED COMPASSION - REFUGEE AID
"Everything in life is a bridge - a word, a smile that we give to the other.“
Thanks to the recently installed online registration procedures, the formerly long queues and waiting times for the arriving people from Ukraine have fortunately been almost eliminated. Today, two Live To Love teams swarmed out. We visited a first reception center and the Heikotel, which very warmly and generously took in 40 Ukrainians. The atmosphere in this hotel is wonderful, the staff super friendly & balanced, moreover it is close to the park.
As far as a small conversation was possible, we heard again and again that these people still cannot believe what has happened to them. In fact, they have already been subjected to great suffering for many years, but no one thought it possible that such a cruel war would break out in their beautiful country in this day and age.
A mother who was present with her two small children, when offered various things, replied, "That's very kind, but I'd rather not accumulate so many possessions in the first place, because I don't know how the journey will continue!" Ukrainians:inside are, on the whole, very beautiful and cultured people.
Almost all of them can be seen the great pain. Their wounded hearts can be read in their eyes and behavior.

We hope from the bottom of our hearts that we have been able to alleviate the hardship of all those we have met so far, at least a very little bit. We are full of compassion and will continue to do our best to contribute with our modest means.
