Diversity United - The Hamburg Foundation Days
What a day!
With impressive enthusiasm, professionalism, and an enormous organizational effort, the Hamburg Foundation Office put together an event that is truly one of a kind. We extend our respect and admiration to everyone involved who made this day possible.
Today, Hamburg has once again shown what makes this city special: diversity, openness, and a vibrant sense of community.
Democracy thrives on diversity.
It grows where people listen to one another, value differences, and take responsibility together. Climate protection and equality are not peripheral issues - they are the cornerstones of a democratic and sustainable society.
We set off on a bike ride - climate-friendly, communal, and full of anticipation - to the place where we’d been given a wonderful spot to plant a tree.
“Hamburg is already so green,” we often hear.
But it’s only through our conversations that many people learn that only about one in five trees is considered truly healthy. A figure that gives pause - and at the same time motivates us to take action.
Because every tree is a silent ally for the climate, biodiversity, and quality of life.
That’s why we keep moving forward.
