Great response to the Cake Challenge in Westphalia

With much love, great dedication and nutritional expertise, our volunteer pastry chefs created a diverse selection of delicious baked goods. In addition to traditional cakes and pies, vegan and various gluten- or lactose-free cakes were also offered.

To our great delight, the vegan cakes were especially sought after!

In the conversations at the counter and at the information booth it became clear: More and more people have become aware of the consequences of meat consumption for the climate and nature and are changing their habits. Most even brought their own containers for transport. Our team leads from Westphalia, as regulars at the ice cream parlor, found it very fun to switch sides of the counter and serve guests for once, and owner Andrea Tanz felt the same way, as she laughingly recounted during her spontaneous visit! One couple felt inspired at the Live To Love info table: they now want to plant a tree for each grandchild - for their future and to give them happiness.

The proceeds from the more than 200 pieces of cake, as well as the numerous donations, go directly to our Live To Love projects - next on the calendar, for example, is another tree planting campaign.
