In the children's foundation 'Die Arche'
Live To Love-Spring campaign at the Arche in Hamburg-Harburg:
With hula hoop dances and jumping rope, the children happily welcomed the Live To Love team, enjoying the first warm rays of sunshine. As last month, we brought finger paints and rolls of wallpaper - an offer to draw themselves and express personal feelings and wishes.
However, the wax crayons were preferred today and some children preferred to draw the stuffed animals they had brought along, which they found much more interesting than themselves.
One boy, marked by deep gratitude and love for his parents, drew a house that he would like to build for them later. Another wrote that he would like to become a scientist to do research for society. One girl wished that her little brother would be born healthy in her mother's womb.
What they all had in common was that they valued their families very much and hoped that everyone was doing well. As a matter of course, they exchanged pens, shared the contents of the bags they had brought with them - and thus gave each other double gifts.
The children's foundation Die Arche offers wide-ranging leisure activities and learning support for children of all ages and cultures at three locations in Hamburg - children who often come from challenging situations and find a second home at Die Arche.
The on-site team does a wonderful job training the children in social skills in an exemplary manner.
Spending time at the Ark, being with the children and the Ark team has once again made it clear which values are really crucial in life on this earth.
Best Wishes
