Children are guests who ask for directions

- Maria Montessori

Warm meeting with Nina and her protégés - the refugee women and children from Ukraine! The youngest in the group is a little baby who saw the light of this world only a few days ago. The spontaneous joy and ultimate radiant presence of the children when unpacking and trying out the gifts infects us all and distracts us - many a stressful experience thus recedes into the background for a while, even for their mothers.

Many of the women are intensively looking for paid work so that they can rent their own apartment and create a home for themselves and their children.
So far, the job centers only offer language courses, but the Ukrainian women - independent of their academic profession - want to work immediately, no matter what kind of employment it is.
At the moment, the local employment agencies are simply overstrained. Nina is constantly building bridges, providing information and making sure that the women get a job that matches their qualifications.
She expects even more people to leave Ukraine in the coming weeks, partly because the heating systems in the cities have collapsed. It's winter...

At the end of our campaign, a Ukrainian woman thanked us with a very moving song. She comes from Kiev, was the director of a music school there and worked as a professional singer.
It is her wish to realize a school also in Hamburg. She has not only the gifts of a wonderful voice and energy, but also the spiritual capacity to manifest her wish.

Nina also received a gift from us today out of respect and appreciation for her great cooperation as well as for her movingly endearing form of communication.
Dear Nina, you are a wonderful woman and a great role model for many. Thank you for being there and how you are there!

Our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who donated children's clothes for the winter, toys, coloring pads and writing utensils, organic fruit, pure food, and other quality and beautiful material needs!

We will continue to be very consistent in our support of the women and children and wish everyone the very best of luck!

From the bottom of our hearts
