HELP Ukraine: Children are guests who ask for directions

In the statistics it is "only" a number: so far 149,874 children and young people have come to Germany since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, 4292 of them to Hamburg alone. (Source: Statista)
In direct contact, however, their fate becomes tangible - then this number comes alive and the desire to make their time here easier and fill it with a little joy is great.
Today, the team welcomed a particularly large number of children in downtown Hamburg, in front of the former Sofitel. Our Live To Love- Care initiative "Help Ukraine" is becoming more and more known among pregnant women and mothers with children.
To see the immediate joy in the children's eyes - even over the most simple toy - is indescribably moving.
The children were particularly enthusiastic about the self made soap bubbles, which they used to play catch with - a welcome change from playing soccer in the front yard of the former hotel.

Diapers and baby food are needed
We learned that the willingness to donate in Hamburg is slowly decreasing.
Yet the young mothers urgently need baby diapers and baby food. For one child alone about 4 packs of diapers are needed per week, one of which costs about 13 Euros.
And of course, from the bottom of our hearts, thanks to all - international and national, who make it possible with donations in kind and money to provide the refugees with the most basic necessities!
We will definitely continue our initiative shortly - this action is so meaningful!
