Gyalwang Drukpa at the Munich Security Conference

The Gyalwang Drukpa was a guest at the 52nd Munich Security Conference from February 12-14, 2016 , attended by more than 60 foreign and defense ministers. The visit was jointly organized by Live To Love International, Drukpa Publications and Live To Love Germany.

He spoke on a panel titled "Securing the Future of the Himalayas" about the future of the Himalayan region under the influence of climate change, the geopolitical situation and the need to protect this region, which is home to Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus alike, as the third pole of the Earth. 1.3 trillion people live in the Himalayas on the water from the glaciers. The Gyalwang Drukpa appealed to the Munich Security Conference to preserve ethnic and religious diversity. Peace can only exist on the basis of humanity, reconciliation, the protection of minority rights and a maximum of respect in a world full of differences.
